April 2024 Income Report
First full month report card
Here is the April income report.
This was my first full month selling on Amazon.
In March, I sent my first books to Amazon. But it wasn’t about until mid March until all my books were received and fully ready for Prime shipping.
Here are the numbers.

Pretty cool to watch the numbers go up. We even had two streaks of 5 and 6 days where we had no sales. I remember thinking it was all over during those droughts.
But one thing I’m proud of is that instead of spending all my time refreshing the sales page. It motivated me to research & buy more deals. I hope that one day I can be making sales every day. And the best way to get there is to buy inventory at good prices.
Winners
Craigslist find: 103% ROI
I bought this book for $50 flat. I got lucky on this one and found it on Craigslist. The buyer sold me two books for $50 each and this one sold pretty quickly while the other one is still waiting to be sold.
The seller even met me at a gas station a few minutes from where I live so there was not a lot of effort that went into this. Really happy with how this one went.
124% ROI
I purchased this book for $49.32 off of Amazon on April 9th and it snuck in with a sale on 4/29.
I just checked the listing and the lowest prime price is $175. I’ll take my 124% ROI every day of the week, but seeing the price $30 higher makes me wonder if I could have gotten more on this sale. I am still learning the pricing game and for now I can live with missing out on an extra $30 on the sale.
Losers
I ended up liquidating this book because it showed up as a “Very Likely” for the counterfeit. I had already sent it to Amazon.
I didn’t remember it looking counterfeit, but since I am a new seller I didn’t want to risk angering Amazon. I decided to take the L and move on.
Since this happened, I have been strictly checking the counterfeit likelihood and inspecting books on arrival. I’ve sent a few back that looked suspicious.
